Measure Wattage Consumption
NK Technologies (San Jose, CA) has introduced APT Series Power
Transducers. The APT measures three phases of current and voltage
and produces an industry standard analog signal proportional to the
watts used. The monitor uses current transformers to measure the
amperes, and the line voltage connects directly to the transducer, up
to 600 VAC. Features include:
■ A 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 5 VDC, or 0 to 10 VDC output.
■ A compact DIN mounted case with a low profile.
■ Finger safe terminals for quick installation.
(Hampton, VA) now offers
the M5200, a durable pressure
transducer with modularity that provides an accuracy of ±0.25% F.S. BFSL
in harsh environments. Features include:
■ A 316L stainless steel housing.
■ A pressure port that is machined from a solid piece of 17-4 PH
or 316L stainless steel.
■ Microfused technology, which eliminates age-sensitive organic
epoxies on the pressure media.
■ Standard pressure ranges that vary from 0 to 50 PSI
(0 to 3. 5 bar) up to 0 to 15,000 PSI (0 to 1,000 bar) in gage.
■ A total error band of ±1% F.S.
■ A dielectric strength of 2 mA max.
■ Reverse polarity protection at input.
■ Short circuit protection at output.
Traceability & Distributed
Modular I/O Solutions
Balluff (Florence, KY) has announced
a portfolio of EtherCAT products including, linear position transducers, network
blocks, network cables, indicator lights,
RFID read/write heads, tags, and processors. Features include:
■ A combination of RFID systems with
technology from Balluff for traceability
integration into any system or process.
■ A universal IO-Link technology that
works like USB for industrial
■ Linear transducers for mounting
inside a hydraulic cylinder or externally
mounting adjacent to the axis
Overmolded Backshell Cable Assemblies
API Technologies (Orlando, FL) now offers durable, low pressure overmolded backshells on connector interfaces from its
Electromagnetic Integrated Solutions (EIS) product line.
■ A simplified backshell design.
■ A molding material that electromagnetically shields the cable.
■ Contacts that will not recess under mechanical stress eliminat-
ing the possibility of insulation damage and short circuiting.
Angle Sensors with 10 Output Choices
Novotechnik (Southborough, MA) has introduced the RFC4800 Series of touchless
rotary angle sensors that provide absolute, rotary position. Output options for analog,
digital, redundant, and switch outputs are standard. The series utilizes a magnetic pick-up to provide a touchless measurement range of 0° to 360°. Features include:
■ Ingress protection from liquids and dust to the IP69K standard.
■ A resolution to 12 bits, a repeatability of 0.1°, and an independent linearity of ±0.5%.
■ A magnetic marker that mounts to a shaft up to 25 mm from sensor.
■ The ability to withstand shock and vibration up to 100G/20G.
■ An operating temperature range from –40° to +85°C.
