Linear Focus Actuator
The LFA-2010 Linear Focus Actuator from Equipment
Solutions (Sunnyvale, CA) is a compact motion control
positioner, specifically developed for optical applications
requiring high precision and high speed positioning over
a short to medium stroke. The high force, low noise voice
coil motor is typically configured with an analog position
feedback sensor and can be optionally equipped with
a 1 um resolution digital quadrature feedback element.

Vibration Damping Drive Shaft
R+W (Bensenville, IL) has expanded upon its design
of vibration damping drive shafts, series EZ2, with a
new miniature design, size 5. The new size 5 shafts
feature customer specified lengths and bore diam-
eters, along with fully split clamping hubs for drop-in
mounting. Speeds in excess of 5,000 rpm can be
achieved without any intermediate support bearings
required. Features include:
Clamping hub bore diameters from 5 mm to 1/2”,
with or without keyways.
Peak torques up to 24 Nm with an outside diameter
of 25 mm.
