announced an innovative servo motion
actuator which infuses a position feedback sensor into the very structure of a
high pole count AC motor. The Mosolver
is a combination motor and resolver in
the same footprint as the motor, enabling
compact, inexpensive, and robust closed
loop motion control. Features include:
■ No need for an encoder.
■ Sense coils within the motor for
rotor position determination.
■ Elimination of alignment
(and loss thereof).
Applimotion’s (Loomis, California) ULT, UTH, and
UTS motor kits can be integrated into a customized
assembly with high resolution encoders and precision
bearings. This allows the customer to control the
function and operation of the assembly without
having to make it in house. Custom assemblies can
range from 8 to 600 mm diameter and torque from
.1 to 1000 NM with unique through-holes,
mechanical features, and custom cabling.
Zero-Max (Plymouth, MN) ServoClass
couplings are now available with hub
taper adapters for use on servo motors
with tapered shafts. Precision machined,
these ServoClass coupling hub adapters are
designed to provide superior shaft engagement on
tapered shafts in high speed applications. Features include:
■ A balanced and tight shaft engagement for servomotor applications at speeds up to 10,000 RPM.
■ Availability in 12 sizes with both single and double disc models.
■ Torque ratings ranging from 0.5 to 250 Nm.
■ Accommodation for parallel (radial), axial, and angular misalignments.
