Programmable Hall Effect Sensor
Melexis (Belgium) has announced an addition to its customer-program-mable Triaxis Hall effect sensor IC portfolio. Targeted predominantly
at use in electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and
renewable energy systems, the high speed devices in the MLX91208
series each offer
a response time
of 3 µs. Features
■ A typical thermal sensitivity
drift of ±150
■ An operational
-40° to +150°C.
■ Accuracy levels exceeding
±0.5% at room
temperature or ±2%
at the extremes of the specified temperature range.
As part of the Oil & Sour Gas Series, tecsis LP (Worthington, OH) now
offers the Model LPI inclination sensor to measure inclination in the
X, Y, or both X and Y directions (2-dimensional), used to measure the
tilt angle of objects with respect to the horizontal. This sensor can be
configured to provide dynamic or static incline or tilt angles between 0°
to 360° (single axis) or ±45° (dual axis) with a resolution of 0.01°. Predefined measuring ranges can be selected to suit the application, and
switch outputs provide control based on limit angles. Features include:
■ A rugged IP67-rated aluminum housing.
■ An operating temperature range from -40° to +185°F.
■ No gravitational error.
■ A standard output that is CSA approved, and intrinsically safe
4-20 mA, with 0 to 5 VDC.
