Microchip Technology (Chandler, AZ) has announced
the MCP9600 – the world’s first thermocouple-conditioning
integrated circuit to combine precision instrumentation, a
precision temperature sensor, and a precision, high-resolution
analog-to-digital converter (ADC), in addition to a math
engine pre-programmed with the firmware to support a range
of standard thermocouple types (K, J, T, N, S, E, B, and R).
n A temperature-data digital filter.
n Shutdown modes, which reduce overall system power
n 4 user-programmable temperature-alert outputs.
n A 5 x 5 mm, 20-lead mQFN package.
2 W DC/DC Converter Modules
Minmax Power (Hudson, MA) has announced the
MAEU02-HI Series, a family of isolated 2 W DC/
DC converter modules in industry standard SIP- 7
packages that feature an ultra-high I/O isolation of
5,200 VDC. Features include:
n The availability of 40 models.
n Input voltage ranges of 5, 12, 15, or 24 VDC.
n Single or dual outputs ranging from 3. 3 to 15 VDC.
n A common mode transient immunity of 15 KV/µs.
n An operating temperature range from -40° to
n A board case size of 0.77 x 0.28 x 0.40”
( 19. 5 x 7.1 x 10. 2 mm).
n UL/cUL/IEC/EN 60950-1 safety approvals.
n 100% RoHS compliant materials.
Crystek Corporation (Fort Myers, FL) has announced
the CVCO55CC-3420-3430 VCO (Voltage Controlled
Oscillator), which operates from 3,420 to 3,430 MHz with
a control voltage range of 0.5 to about 4. 5 V. The VCO
features a typical phase noise of -110 dBc/Hz at 10 KHz
offset and has suitable linearity. Features include:
n An output power of typically + 2.0 dBm.
n A 0.5 x 0.5” SMD package.
n An input voltage of typically 5.0 V.
n A max. current consumption of 23 mA.
n Pulling and pushing minimized to 1.0 MHz and 1.0
n A second harmonic suppression of - 15 dBc typical.
