B&R (Roswell, GA)
has expanded the X20
system to include a
new series of compact
controllers with integrated I/O. As with all X20
CPUs, additional I/O modules can be connected either locally or
remotely using cables. These new compact controllers are being
offered in a range of variants with different levels of performance.
■ 32 built-in digital and analog I/O channels.
■ An x86 processor.
■ Availability with integrated POWERLINK, standard Ethernet, CAN,
RS232, and USB interfaces.
■ 2 different CPU frequencies: 200 MHz and 400 MHz.
■ Up to 256 MB RAM and 16 kB nonvolatile onboard RAM.
■ A built-in flash drive with up to 4 GB.
5 Position Mini Connector
Anderson Power Products (Sterling, MA)
has announced the addition of a five position
offering to the Mini SPEC Pak connector family. This environmentally sealed and touch safe
connector houses up to 5 contact positions in
a compact latching shell. Features include:
■ Power handling capabilities up to 23 A and
600 V AC/DC per pole.
■ Up to 12 AWG ( 2. 5 mm²) wires.
■ Gold plated contacts down to 24 AWG
Microchip Technology (Chandler, AZ)
has announced an expansion of its 8-bit
PIC16F178X enhanced Mid-Range core
microcontroller (MCU) family with increased
Flash memory densities, and intelligent analog and digital peripherals. Features include:
■ On-chip 12-bit Analog-to-Digital
■ 16-bit PWMs, 8-bit and 5-bit
Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs).
■ Availability in 28- and 40-pin
■ A 32 MHz internal oscillator.
Powerstax (UK) has
introduced a new series
of DC-DC converter
products. Housed in 1/2
brick packages format,
with either 24 or 48 VDC
input buses, the H0331
series is suited for incorporation within industrial,
data networking systems.
■ Power densities reaching 10.3 W/cm³ (169 W/inch³).
■ Output levels of 336 W/21 A.
■ Power efficiency figures between 88% and 90%, depending on
■ An operational temperature range from -50° to 110°C.
B&K Precision (Yorba Linda, CA) has announced the expansion of its 9115 Series with two new
multi-range programmable DC power supplies, models 9115-AT and 9116. Like the 9115, the new
models deliver full output power of 1,200 W in any combination of voltage and current within the
rated limits. Features include:
■ Motor startup simulation, short voltage drop, reset behavior voltage drop, and engine start routine
■ A high resolution VFD display, independent voltage and current control knobs, cursors, and a
numerical keypad for direct data entry.
(list mode) programming, and configurable overvoltage and overpower protection limits.
