(Hampton, VA) has
released the Model
142, a low-noise inline
strain gage amplifier with an
auto-zero function for measurement accu-
racy. The measurement resolution and bandwidth
of the new Model 142 make it useful in a number of data
acquisition and instrumentation systems handling a high dynamic range,
such as static force testing, load monitoring, and strain measurement.
Alternatives to Photoelectrics
Ultrasonic sensors provide the coverage needed when optical sensors
reach their limits. This is why Baumer (Southington, CT) has expanded its
portfolio of NextGen sensors to include the new U500 Series ultrasonic
sensor. With the
same design, dimensions, and application
concept as its O500
Series photoelectric counterpart, the
U500 provides more
flexibility from system
planning to implementation. Features
■ A sensing distance
of up to 1,000 mm.
■ Dust and dirt
■ A narrow, symmetrical sonic beam angle.
■ A diameter of 80 mm at an object distance of 500 mm.
for Harsh Applications
BEI Sensors (Goleta, CA) has introduced the
T-Series industrial inclinometer, a compact sensor for
measurement of slope or tilt angles of an object with respect
to gravity. Designed for harsh outdoor applications, these inclinometers are
sealed up to IP68. When properly mounted with a sealed mating connec-
tor they can withstand IP69K washdown environments. Features include:
■ A range of motion feedback including dual axis up to ±60° or single axis
of 360°, with resolution of 0.01° and accuracy of 0.1°.
■ Built-in linearity and temperature compensation, both for offset and sensitivity.
■ A glass fiber reinforced plastic or an AW6082-T6 aluminum alloy housing.
■ Output options including 4-20 mA or 0. 5-4. 5 V.
