Wireless Prototyping Platform
National Instruments (Austin, TX) has announced an integrated software
defined radio solution for rapidly prototyping high-performance, multichannel
wireless communication systems. Wireless engineers can use this technology to rapidly prototype real-time wireless communications systems and test
them under real-world conditions. Features include:
■ A platform built on the NI LabVIEW RIO architecture.
■ A high-performance 2 x 2 multiple input.
■ A multiple output (MIMO) RF transceiver.
■ The capability to transmit and receive signals from 50 MHz to 6 GHz.
■ A low latency with a PCI Express connection.
Right Angle Connectors
ERNI (Richmond, VA) has released an extension to their existing
100 Ω PCIe product family. The newest 85 Ω right angle PCI Express
connector series provides design flexibility and space savings where low
clearance above the PCB prohibits the use of vertical configurations.
■ The ability to be mounted parallel to the motherboard, saving space in
the overall height allowed within the chassis.
■ x1, x4, x8, x16, and new x24 versions.
■ Stack heights of 5.84 mm (.230") and 11. 18 mm (.440") in the
■ 30µ" Au plating options.
Innovative Power (Perris, CA) has announced its new Single Phase 50/60 Hz
Step/Control Series Transformers for industrial applications, including motor speed
control. The transformers were developed for challenging manufacturing environments, and the scalable design supports a range of applications. Features include:
■ The ability to be specified for applications from 120 to 575 V.
■ A primary voltage of 240/480 VAC with a secondary voltage of 120/240 VAC.
■ A power rating of 5 KVA.
■ An operating temperature range from -40º to +240ºC.
■ A standard square package that can be customized.
