(Irvine, CA) has
introduced a new
60 GHz waveguide transmitter/
system. The 60
range is desirable
to engineers and
developers wanting to experiment with transmitting high-bandwidth data at extremely
high speeds. The development
■ 60 GHz transmitter/receiver waveguide modules with WR15/WG25
■ Transmitter/receiver PCBs.
■ Board/waveguide mounting brackets.
■ 2 bench top tripods.
■ GUI software.
■ MCX connector expansion boards.
■ Phased matched MCX to SMA coaxial cables.
Renesas Electronics Corporation (Santa Clara, CA) has
announced the expansion of its popular RL78 Series of microcontrollers (MCUs) with 40 new RL78/L1C devices that integrate LCD
display functions, USB functions, and 12-bit A/D converters on a
single chip. The new RL78/L1C MCUs can interface to a range
of sensors such as pressure, temperature, and proximity sensors.
■ An on-chip LCD driver.
■ A USB BC 1.2-compliant USB module.
■ A power consumption as low as 0.25 uA in sleep or
■ A 12-bit A/D converter.
Multi-Chip Headlamp Pro LED
Osram Opto Semiconductors (Munich) has developed a new
Ostar Headlamp Pro that offers a spe-
cific LED component for advanced
forward lighting systems. The
5 chips of this new LED
can be individually
on and off
according to driving situations and the
positions of other vehicles
on the road. Features include:
■ High-performance technology,
homogeneous luminance, and
■ A distinct bright-dark contrast ratio of 1:65 between
illuminated and non-illuminated chips.
■ An integrated shutter that enables a clearly defined light
beam from the headlight.
