Hollow-Shaft Angle Sensors
Novotechnik U.S. (Southborough, MA)
has announced the WAL300 Series of
hollow-shaft angle sensors, made by
their affiliate, Contelec. Features
■ A high resolution of <0.3°.
■ A housing diameter of 32 mm
and height of 10 mm.
■ A repeatability of 0.3°.
■ An operating temperature range
from - 25 to +75°C.
■ An electrical travel of 0 to 340°
with continuous mechanical travel.
■ A life of 4 million movements.
(Hampton, VA) now offers a
series of miniature, high-re-liability LVDTs (linear
variable differential transformers) that provide precise measurements at higher
displacement speeds. Measuring
3/8" (9.52 mm) in diameter, the
MHR Series can be used in environments with space limitations. With
a lightweight core that reduces inertia, the MHR series is
ideal for use where excessive core weight could influence the motion
of the measurement. Features include:
■ An availability in stroke ranges from ±0.005" to ± 2" with ±0.25%
■ An operating temperature range from -55° to +150°C, with optional
■ An excitation frequency up to 20 kHz.
■ Stainless steel housings, and imperial or metric threaded cores.
■ Protection against hostile environments such as high humidity,
vibration and shock.
AutomationDirect (Cumming, GA) has added the Flowline Echo Touch, EchoSpan, and
EchoSwitch lines of ultrasonic liquid level sensors and transmitters, as well as the PodView
digital level indicator to their product offerings. The ultrasonic liquid level sensor families
replace float, conductance and pressure sensors that fail due to contact with dirty, sticky,
and scaling media in small, medium, and large capacity tanks. Features include:
■ PVDF transducers and NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosures.
■ Continuous level detection up to 18' (Echotouch LU20), 32. 8' (EchoSpan LU),
or 26. 2' (EchoSwitch LU).
■ An LCD display.
■ A 4-20 mA output (EchoSpan LU and EchoSwitch LU).
