MicroTCA AMC Carrier for FPGA Card
Vadatech (Henderson, NV) has announced a new Advanced Mezzanine
Card (AMC) carrier for a FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC) per VITA-57.
The design allows users to utilize the FMCs within the AMC format of
the MicroTCA architecture. Features include:
AMC.1, AMC. 2, and AMC. 4 compliance.
Various serial protocol options and performance features.
An on-board QorIQ PPC (Pin Peripheral Controller) that runs at
1.0 GHz with 2 GB of DDR3 memory at 64-bit wide.
An on-board jitter clock cleaner.
8 MB of boot Flash and up to 32 GB of user Flash.
A Serial over LAN with hardware RNG (Random Number Generator).
No Derating at Low Line
Emerson Network Power (Carlsbad, CA) has announced a new
1,500-W AC-DC power supply that does not require any derating at
low line. The LCM1500Q-T- 4 features:
Full power across an input range from 90 to 264 VAC.
A rating for 24 V single output, which can be trimmed to ±10%.
A sophisticated digital control loop that optimizes efficiency.
A typical power factor of 0.99.
A power density of 12 W/in3.
A 5 V standby voltage to enable OEM standby functions —
even when the equipment is nominally off.
Exceptional Positioning Accuracy
MEN Micro (Ambler, PA) has released the PX1, a new PCI Express
Mini Card that uses a GNSS receiver to handle data transmissions
from both GPS and GLONASS systems. The board, which supports
both active and passive antennas via a U.FL connector, provides sat-
ellite-based communication worldwide. Features include:
A gyroscope sensor that enables dead reckoning functionality.
Accurate position identification, even when a satellite signal
Applicability in fleet management applications where
commercial vehicles travel across wide geographic ranges.
