Plastic Body, Durable
The IN65 series of standard
limit switches available from
Altech Corp. (Flemington,
NJ) integrate a plastic body
and durable metal mounting
clip and actuator lock to
provide the economic
advantages of plastic-bodied switches with the
sturdiness of conventional metal-bodied versions.
Their modular design and other special features offer
application flexibility and ease of use for a wide range
of position monitoring, product control, and/or safety
applications in industrial automation processes.
Among key features, the metal mounting clip adds
value and efficiency by allowing for tool-free assembly,
rotation, and changing of the switch actuators. The
modular switch design can accommodate different
multiple slow-action or snap-action contacts and is
available with an assortment of actuator styles. This
built-in modularity can help reduce storage requirements
and broaden application potential.
The IN65 limit switches have a protection rating of
IP67 and are rated for more than 30 million mechanical
cycles, while ensuring switching reliability for as little as
1 mA at 5 VDC. They conform to DIN EN 50047.
These switches can be assembled with a variety
of contacts and actuators to meet the specific
requirements of an application. They provide reliable
and durable solutions to successfully convert
mechanical movement into electrical signals.

KEMET (Greenville, SC), has
expanded its surface mount High Voltage
Multilayer Ceramic Capacitor portfolio with the
addition of the EIA 0603 case size (1608 metric) with C0G
temperature characteristics. These devices are reportedly the
smallest of their kind and offer designers the ability to continue
miniaturizing trends within their designs while still maintaining
operating voltages up to 1,000 VDC.
In addition, KEMET has extended capacitance ranges in EIA
0805–1812 case sizes. Capacitance availability is now on
average three times greater in devices with voltage ratings
of 500, 630 and 1,000 VDC, when compared to KEMET’s
previous portfolio offerings.
By utilizing patented base metal electrode (BME) technology,
the C0G High Voltage series provides high stability with
no capacitance change versus DC voltage and negligible
capacitance change over temperature. Available in both
